At the end of the day, it is not just for informing that blogs exist but also for entertaining.
Now, you want your blog to be funny but the problem remains that you do not know where to start. Maybe you already consider yourself as someone funny based on other people’s reactions. Or maybe you need some assistance with your humor because other people think you are not funny.
Well, there is no problem for you. Below are some things that you can carefully consider if you are after achieving a funny blog or adding some element of humor into your blog.
1) Add a bit of being unexpected and unusual to your blog
One of the funniest kinds of comedy for a lot of people are shock comedy; however, they do not know that all humor gets to be effective when the person is able to get a surprised reaction. Try considering slapstick.
With written word, on the other hand, adding the element of humor can be very difficult if you do not know what you are doing. Even so, there were times in your life where you have tried being in moments that seem absurd.
Just imagine a situation that has happened to you or somebody else or any bizarre story that you can think of that has just a happy ending. Enhance your weird taste factor and learn how you can find it while living every single day.
2) Taking advantage of similes and metaphors
One of the best ways for you to add some humor into your writing is to think of out-of-this-world and exaggerated comparisons from one kind of situation to another.
Always keep in mind that similes and metaphors are always being confused. When it comes to similes, it is saying that one thing is as another or is like another. With metaphors, on the other hand, they deal more with making direct comparisons of two things.
Wordplay, is also a great idea but you should be smart about it, that is you should not utilize puns in a situation if you think that they will not work well within your own article. You should know by now why groaners are what you call bad puns.
3) Using irony and sarcasm
These two concepts are also being confused as well. Irony is what you call something that may happen to you though that something is not what you know beforehand. If you talk about sarcasm, on the other hand, it is feeling something but then you are showing the opposite of it.
